OBJECTIVE

To design a chair for moments of quiet reflection in public spaces—such as galleries, libraries, or urban parks—that evokes a sense of calm, grounding, and gentle introspection. The chair should communicate my belief that good design not only serves function but also shapes emotional experience and encourages meaningful pauses in our fast-paced environments.

DESIGN

A café dining chair that fosters a sense of calm connection and quiet comfort within social spaces. Crafted from warm soft maple and handwoven rattan, the chair reflects my belief as a designer that furniture should not only serve its function but also create emotional resonance. Through gentle curves, honest materials, and an inviting presence, this chair seeks to slow people down—encouraging mindful interactions, moments of pause, and a deeper appreciation for tactile and visual harmony in everyday life.
